It was so much fun, we are doing it again! Starting on May 6th and going through October St. Francis in the Keys Episcopal Church and Lord of the Seas Lutheran Church will hold joint services at 9:30 am each Sunday for the second year in a row. And the public is invited to come.
The two congregations will meet together at Lord of the Seas on the first and third Sundays of the month. They will come together at St. Francis in the Keys on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. Though their worship services are very similar and their hymns are often the same, each parish will experience the unique and delightful contributions their sister denomination has made to Christian tradition. St. Francis will share their Celtic service and their healing service. The Lord of the Seas choir will sing at every worship service. There will be a coffee hour after each gathering.
The sites of the two churches are only a quarter of a mile apart. Lord of the Seas is located at 1250 Key Deer Blvd, a mile and a quarter from the only stoplight on Big Pine Key. St. Francis in the Keys is at 1600 Key Deer Blvd, just south of Watson Blvd. For more information go to their Facebook pages or websites: stfrancisinthekeys.org or lordoftheseas.webs.com
