Christmas is a time for families to come together and St. Francis in the Keys Episcopal Church and Lord of the Seas Lutheran Church are coming together for their first ever joint Christmas Eve service. In the process, they will be combining the service of Lessons and Carols with the Eucharist. Readings from the gospels will alternate with favorite hymns of the holiday. The choir will sing an anthem. The Rev. Chris Todd will use his ventriloquism to discuss whether Christmas makes sense with a man named Ebenezer. After communion there will be the traditional candlelit singing of "Silent Night." The service begins at 7:00 pm at Lord of the Seas' church. The public is invited.
Lord of the Seas is at 1250 Key Deer Blvd, 1 mile from the stoplight, just up from the softball field and is the tallest church on Big Pine.
